Impact Recovery Center is an addiction recovery program located near Birmingham, AL. We use a 12-Step immersion process in conjunction with an intensive clinical component, to help addictions to any mind-altering substances. We focus on creating an environment that fosters the idea that permanent recovery from addiction can be a reality. We’ve created a highly structured, spiritual recovery atmosphere. We centralize our philosophy on the healing of our residents’ bodies and the transformation of their minds. Simply, our model is recovery, experientially and spirituality based. Through application of a12 Step modality, individuals can recover from addiction, reclaim their humanity, recreate their lives and become productive members of society. Our personal experience confirms this. We believe Twelve Steps and clinical work are the foundation for permanent recovery. From our own personal experiences, we know abstinence from mind altering substances is just the beginning of the process. We teach our residents and require they practice several key life skills which include, but are not limited to discipline, responsibility, accountability, honest communication, goal setting, vision and intent and financial literacy. We help men understand the importance of living an honest life – to do what you say and say what you do. Located on 60+ acres in the hill country just outside Birmingham, we offer a peaceful and tranquil setting without distractions of the outside world. Our residents heal their minds with the 12-Step process; they heal their bodies with nutrition and physical activities like yoga, interval training, pickle ball, hiking, disc golf, basketball and softball; and they wake up their Spirit by acquiring facts about themselves that will enable them to use their struggles with addiction to help others recover. When they leave us, they will have all the tools they need to be active members of the recovery community.
