With more than 50 years of combined experience in some of the world’s best brands, our small team of naturopaths, herbalists and natural product experts set out in late 2020 to create a new standard for natural medicines, designed around the needs (and demands) of a modern society with the Ora brand. We went back to first principles, including why we began our own journeys in natural medicine and reimagined answers to problems that have long been considered ‘too hard’ (or in some conversations, impossible) – specifically – how could we create plant-based formulations, with all ingredients at therapeutic doses, with the minimum of excipients and non-active ingredients that either taste delicious or are simple to take – with organic ingredients used wherever possible and full ingredient and formulation transparency. It all had to be done at a price that while not inexpensive, was not out of reach for the people we wanted to serve. With Ora, we wanted to use the very best of our knowledge and experience of not only traditional herbal medicinal practices, but also the latest clinically researched evidence on natural medicine ingredients to make each of the Ora formulations ‘work’ as hard as possible. We wanted to only produce our products in the highest quality, Australian based TGA-licensed manufacturers – suppliers and manufacturers with whom we’ve worked in some cases for decades. We set out to build a range of products that we wanted for ourselves (and for our friends and families) – a range of products and a brand that we’re proud to (actually) put our name on. We made Ora for those who, like us, wants to spend their money on less but better products that do what they say on the label, in a way that not only avoids harm, but actually directly benefits the environment.
