The Petroleum Institute of East Africa (PIEA) is the professional body for the oil and gas industry in the EA region. PIEA Is tasked with the mandate of capacity building in the industry by engaging petroleum associations and stakeholders in the EA region in the establishment of harmonized standards & practices. Objectives Promote the interest of the petroleum industry at the upstream, midstream and downstream sectors by providing forum. Promote the mutual improvements of its members and assisting members to acquire the professional knowledge, values and understanding they require throughout their careers. Provide and preserve an Industry focus independent of government and commercial interest. Lobby with policy makers and regulatory agencies for the provision of a legal, stable, free and competitive market. Lobby for the enactment of comprehensive guidelines necessary for the advancement and safety for the Petroleum Industry. Foster foreign and domestic trade in East African Petroleum products. To afford a means of co-operation with government in all matters of national and regional concern across the oil and gas industry.
