Milestones in the company’s history 1944– The Garden Cooperatives Economic Central Office of Poland was set up. 1958– The Enterprise „HORTEX” was established. 1965– The new Hortex plant introduces the first tunnel freezer provided for manufacturing of frozen fruit and vegetables; ’70– In the 70's Hortex is one of the leading suppliers of agricultural and food products in the CEE. ‘80– In the mid-80's Hortex became one of the world’s leading manufacturers of concentrated fruit juices. 1989– Hortex launches the first production line for aseptic packaging of juices in carton boxes. 1997– The enterprise starts its operation under the name of Hortex Holding S. A. 2003– Hortex plants are granted Integrated Management System certificates. 2006– Argan Capital, the investment fund, purchased the company. 2010– Hortex plants are granted IFS/BRC certificates. Our core business comprises manufacturing of juices, nectars and non-carbonated fruit beverages as well as frozen fruits and vegetables. The third essential business area includes production of fruit juice concentrates. Hortex Group comprises of three sister companies: Hortex Holding S.A., Ortika Polska Sp.z o.o., Hortex Marketing Services. Hortex Holding S.A. deals with manufacturing and sales of juices, non-carbonated fruit beverages, nectars and concentrates, whilst Polski Ogrod handles production and distribution of frozen food and concentrates. Ortika Frozen Foods operates on the Russian market. Hortex Marketing Services owns Hortex brand, provides brand management, marketing services for other companies in the Group.
