www.vsac.caThe Victoria Sexual Assault Centre is a feminist organization committed to ending sexualized violence through healing, education, and prevention. We are dedicated to supporting all women, Trans, Two-Spirit and Gender Diverse survivors of sexual assault and childhood sexual abuse, through advocacy, counselling, and empowerment. Established in 1982, Victoria Sexual Assault Centre (VSAC) is committed to social change and ensuring that survivors of sexualized violence receive timely, appropriate and trauma-informed support through counselling, victim services, a crisis and information line, our clinic, and our award-winning youth-led violence prevention program. We regularly conduct training for other services providers including medical personnel, universities and colleges, police departments, community organizations, staff, volunteers and victim service workers. Our long history of community partnerships and collaboration has led to the development of many innovative programs such as: -a community base Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) -a province-wide umbrella association for agencies in this field -an innovative Community-based Response Network with 7 partner agencies in City of Victoria, and; -British Columbia's first and only integrated sexual assault clinic. Our Services have benefited over 100,000 people in 35 years of operation.
