GRP case histories include absorber towers, slurry piping, ductwork and stack liners. The use of GRP in stack liners and slurry piping began in the 1970s. Several ducts were installed in the 1980s, and a few large absorber towers were built in the 1990s. One of the largest use of GRP in wet FGD is stack liners. Since 1977, a number of GRP stack liners have been installed and are still in service today. With the availibility of multiple temporary mobile production facilities, Plasticon is able to manufacture tanks, apparatus, chimney liners, stacks and ducts on-site. The comprehensive range of fixed and variable moulds allows us to manufacture products from 4 m to 30 m in diameter. The manufacturing of these large items takes place on-site according to specifications and HSE, saving transport cost, risks and time. When the job is finished, the on-site winding facility can be easily removed and will be gone before you know it. No disturbance of any ongoing processes at your plant.
