United Way Romania is a non-profit organisation that supports initiatives and social care programs improving the lives of children, adults and elders in need. Our work focuses on the three building blocks of a good life: access to quality education, good health services and an income enough to support a family. United Way Romania acts as a community convener, mobilising an extended network of partners within the community – NGOs, companies, public institutions, civil society leaders, donors and volunteers – to coordinate its efforts to generate a collective impact. United Way Romania programs support annually over 10,500 people in difficulty, with contribution of over 3,000 individual donors, 36 major donors, 70 companies and over 1,000 volunteers. United Way Romania is affiliated to United Way Worldwide, a network of nearly 1,800 local organisations in over 40 countries. Every year, worldwide partner companies and their employees, donors and volunteers contribute with more than $ 5 billion and 25 million volunteer hours to help people in need have a better life.
