Water Quality India Association is a not-for-profit trade association incorporated in September 2014 under the Companies Act 2013. The main objective of WQIA to promote and represent the interest of water quality improvement industry including household, commercial, industrial water supplies, represent the interest of water quality industry before various statutory bodies and government authorities, promote water quality standards, by conducting professional certification programmes. The purpose envisioned for WQIA to focus on: • To promote and protect interests of drinking water treatment industry • Increase WQIA membership and participation in Trade Shows • Introduce WQIA Education through Qualified Water Professional and Certified Service Technician Training Programmes. • Help with local government relations and develop or adopt India Standards and Regulations • Protecting WQIA membership logo • Develop consumer education and awareness program • Set up two meetings in a year to discuss industry issues
