ar·ti·fact noun ar·ti·fact \ˈär-ti-ˌfakt\ any object made by human beings, especially with a view to subsequent use Based in Richmond, Virginia, and founded in 2015, Artifact Press is the imprint of multidisciplinary artist, Heidi Reszies. Work produced by Artifact Press is created out of a deep appreciation for visual art, book arts, and poetry. One artistic practice opens to the other, in artifacts that become vehicles for poetry/part of the poetry's form: the printed word in concert with its material experience. Deluxe limited edition artifacts are typeset by hand and letterpress printed using an antique Kelsey platen press and Challenge proof press. Our catalogue includes chapbooks by Genine Lentine, Andrea Beltran, Rory Ou, Melissa Matthewson, Nate Pritts, and Joshua Marie Wilkinson, with forthcoming titles from Jen Bervin and Allison Titus.
