The Canadian Home Products Trade Association (CHPTA) has been serving the Hardware and Housewares industry since 1968. Initially, the CHPTA was a lobby group formed to represent the interests of manufacturers to government and retail/distributor customers. Today, the CHPTA is a national non-profit organization comprised of over 200 companies who manufacture and distribute hardware and housewares products. While lobby efforts are still a major part of the Association's mandate, the CHPTA also hosts numerous business functions, social events and networking opportunities each year providing significant value to its members.
