www.canoneonta.orgSince 1970, the the Community Arts Network of Oneonta (formerly UCCCA) l has served communities in the greater Oneonta region by creating a cultural, educational, social, and economic environment in which the arts can flourish. We provide or facilitate artistic presentations to thousands of people in the region. This includes concerts, exhibitions, classes and more. Programs managed by the CANO include: Exhibitions at the Kubiak, Hathaway and Fine Craft Galleries in Wilber Mansion, featuring work by the region’s best contemporary and emerging artists. Chili Bowl, a culinary challenge for amateur and professional chefs, and a creative showcase for area potters. Annual Mansion Show. Annual Member Show. Art in Bloom, a juried, two-day exhibition of floral design interpretations of the current art exhibit displayed by the Oneonta Garden Club. City of the Hills Arts Festival, featuring the work of 50 regional artists, free art workshops offered by a variety of community organizations and a full-day of musical entertainment. December Holiday Pop Shop arts & crafts show. Monthly Writers Salon, featuring readings from published authors and aspiring writers. Additionally, CANO partners with many organizations to further enrich art and culture in the area, including: Oneonta Arts Task Force, The Oneonta Concert Association, Main Street Oneonta, First Night Oneonta, Oneonta World of Learning, and the LEAF Council on Alcoholism & Addictions.
