Hortus S.r.l. was founded in 1987 as a software development company and it has gained thirty years of experience in the design and development of platforms for the integrated management of environmental monitoring networks, financial data and B2B and B2C e-commerce. Taking advantage of the experience gained in the integration of different monitoring systems, in 2003 it has started to design, supply, install and maintain its own automatic systems for monitoring, alerting and remote-control applications based on Campbell Scientific equipment, becoming its authorized distributor for Italy. The solutions provided by Hortus are mainly used in the following fields: meteorology, hydrology, geotechnics, structural health, environmental research, natural risk mitigation and early warning. Up to date, it has more than 500 integrated systems installed throughout Italy and abroad.
