Lisa’s skills include all stages of research design and project management, including financial management, and her long term experience as a Cultural Studies academic makes the application of broadly imagined approaches an inherent part of her professional practice. She has often called herself an interdisciplinary writer who explores the intersections between culture, communication and daily life, while also critically questioning these foundations. Lisa McDonald is skilled at developing and exposing insights that harness potential, and working with the strengths of individuals and communities beyond common understandings of vulnerability and innovation. Recent research experience with older people’s digital technology practices in regional Australia has produced an evidence base for fluid understandings of regional futures, and affirmed how successfully individuals and communities create their own impacts.
