www.pgabc.orgThe Professional Golfers’ Association of British Columbia is an association comprised of nearly 700 PGA of Canada Golf Professionals who work at and operate golf courses, driving ranges and other facilities across the province. Their mandate as is to promote and advance the game of golf, serving the needs of both its membership and the golf public through professional and junior golf development programs and high-calibre competitive events. PGA of BC Professionals: •Are highly skilled and are considered experts in the game and business of golf. They have standardized training in all aspects of the golf industry, and are the most qualified to teach the game of golf to men, women, juniors and children. •Possess the business and professional skills necessary to manage expenses, while providing programs and services that generate revenues, including having access to many specialized programs such as Future Links, Get Golf Ready and National Golf In Schools. •Have the experience, knowledge and expertise to manage golf facilities, including start-up operations, employee management, marketing and promotions, budget and fiscal management, food and beverage operations, tournaments, merchandising and course maintenance. •Give back to their communities through charitable initiatives including the annual Golfathon for ALS in cooperation with the ALS Society of BC, as well as low-barrier youth golf programming such as Canucks Junior Golf Week PGA of BC members will excel in many different positions including: •Chief Operating Officer •General Manager •Director of Golf •Head Golf Professional •Director of Instruction •Teaching Professional For more information, please visit www.pgabc.org.
