Located on Sydney’s North Shore, Barker College is a coeducational Anglican day school for students from Pre-K - Year 12 and boarding in Years 10 - 12. Barker offers its students a broad range of academic subjects and co-curricular programs. Equally, the School is committed to seeking and retaining dynamic professionals through a variety of career paths within the School. All staff members at Barker are valued and supported in their professional endeavours. At Barker, teachers are offered a range of professional development and learning opportunities. Currently, Barker has six teachers who are accredited at the Highly Accomplished level – arguably the highest number within a school in NSW. All new staff are mentored during their induction period at Barker and the School contributes to the sustaining of the profession by supporting a number of teaching practicum students from universities across the country annually. In 2021 the School was recognised as a Gold Skilled Workplace for our commitment to continuous improvement in mental health training. 36% of Barker's staff are now accredited Mental Health First Aiders. Quality teaching and learning drives the pursuit of supporting the School’s strategic vision of being a leading educational institution that inspires global hope. Barker is focused on the future.
