OUR LOCATION California Bearcats Select program is located in the North County area. Considered to be the #1 youth basketball club in San Diego County. California Bearcats Select currently has 1st-8th grade boys and girls from Carlsbad, Encinitas, Leucadia, Solana Beach, Del Mar and Carmel Valley, as well as some from La Jolla and Clairemont Mesa. It is located right off the freeway on the Lomas Santa Fe exit off the 5 freeway at 838 Academy Drive in Solana Beach. We are in our 16th year in club basketball in San Diego. OUR TEAMS Currently, CBC is comprised of boys teams from 3rd to 8th grade boys. There are 15 teams total with one to two teams per grade. Typically, teams are comprised of 9 players. For the 4th-8th Grade Boys teams, a select number of players will be selected for our Travel Team. The Travel Team are a combination of the RED, or WHITE teams within each grade. Travel teams participate in select tournaments during the Fall, Winter, and Spring seasons in San Diego and Orange County. Our 14U will be committing in tournaments in Las Vegas over the summer. COMMITMENT AND LOYALTY We ask our players to commit to play all 3 seasons (Fall, Winter, and Spring). We will work around other sports; however, we need to have to a commitment that CBC will be as or more important than the other sport(s). No player is allowed to play for another club basketball program unless that club team is a school team. We will ask that if a player plays for a school team that CBC is always the priority and that the player request approval from CBC before they start playing with the “school club team.”
