David Gilliland Racing (DGR) is a race team based in Mooresville, N.C. In 2017, DGR was founded by race-winning and former Cup Series driver David Gilliland. Initially, the team was based out of a facility located on Gilliland’s personal property. As the team has grown from its humble beginnings, the organization now occupies 60,000 square feet of space in the mecca of stock car racing. The team competes in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS), ARCA Menards Series and CARS Tour. In 2021, veteran National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) racer and successful businessman, Johnny Gray became team co-owner of the race-winning organization. The former NHRA Funny Car and Pro Stock driver is from Artesia, N.M.
