NOMA* is an architecture, public realm and interiors practice located in Perth, Western Australia. We work closely with a network of experienced consultants and contractors to deliver socially responsible, design focused but highly functional outcomes contributing to local communities. We believe these qualities also align with commercial objectives. Established by Simon Venturi in 2012, he leads a small team undertaking a diverse range of innovative commercial, retail, public space, adaptive re-use, residential and interior fitout projects. Developed from involvement in community groups, design review panels, academic research as well as architectural practice our approach embodies the following key principles; - Use local context as a generator to inform our design direction - Explore opportunities to integrate the basic notion of ‘sharing’ - Incorporate ‘local knowledge’ to generate innovation - Acknowledge streetscape as an opportunity to engage with people - Reference local architectural language in our outcomes - Establish spaces encouraging the growth of micro communities - Merge built form, public space, landscape + public art NOMA* is registered with the Architects Board of Western Australia as well as being an A+ member of the Australian Institute of Architects.
