For over a decade, Haven Neighborhood Services, a nonprofit 501 (c)(3), has maintained an unwavering commitment to the financial health and education of our community members. All services that Haven Neighborhood Services provides are FREE at no-cost to our clients. Our organization, founded during the aftermath of the 2008 Economic Recession, addresses financial crises among economically vulnerable individuals and families. To date, we have served over 28,000 Angelenos. Our mission is to “financially empower vulnerable communities by providing no-cost financial education and services to end their financial crisis.” Haven Neighborhood Services has a two-prong approach in financially empowering disadvantaged communities in Los Angeles County: 1) Financial Education Workshops: FDIC MoneySmart Financial Literacy, First-Time Homebuyer, and Online Banking; and 2) Certified One-on-One Financial Services: Financial Coaching, Credit Counseling, Foreclosure Prevention, Predatory Lending Intervention, Debt Relief, Pre-Purchase Home Counseling, Identity Theft Recovery Assistance, Bank Account Enrollment Support, among other services.
