The Asset Building Coalition of Forsyth supports strategic initiatives in Winston-Salem and Forsyth County that are designed to help individuals, families, and the community overall become more resilient to asset poverty by encouraging asset-building behaviors and activities. Our four strategic initiatives include: Forsyth Saves - a savings campaign encouraging all citizens in Forsyth County to eliminate their risk of liquid asset poverty by committing to save Forsyth Living Wage Campaign - engaging employers in our community in necessary conversations to increase hourly wages for employees to secure financial stability without assistance from public benefits. Financial Capability Best Practices - a commitment to the citizens of Forsyth County to ensure individuals and organizations facilitating financial education/ capability training receive: professional development training, industry-related updates, and support with resources for clients. Advocacy and Public Policy - educating practitioners, elected officials, and consumers about policies that impact the assets of citizens in Forsyth County
