Ardabil University of Medical Sciences (ArUMS) affiliated to the Ministry of Health, Treatment and medical Education. ArUMS focuses on the scientific and humanistic bases for understanding and influencing interactions involving patients, medicines, caregivers, and health care systems. ArUMS was established in 1993 by admitting students in the fields of medicine, nursing, midwifery and laboratory sciences. The first buildings has located at the Daneshgah Street in front of the beautiful and touristic Lake of Shurabil since 1995. The university master plan project is considered in an area of about 80000 sqm. The university has 25 fields of study in 6 faculties, four in main campus including medicine and paramedical, pharmacy, dentistry, health, nursing and midwifery, in addition two campuses: Moghan faculty of Nursing and Midwifery and Meshginshahr Nursing faculty ArUMS has seven vice chancellors in treatment, management and resource development, health, education, research and technology, food and medicine, culture and students and four research centers. The university has four educational hospitals also governs all private hospitals, health and medical care networks, and clinics throughout the Ardabil province.
