Created in September 2018, the Franco-British Data Society (FBDS) is a networking platform that gathers a mix of experts in data coming from different backgrounds from data science students and professors to AI scientists, analytics experts, lawyers, charities, security professionals and banking representatives. All sharing common concerns and facing similar challenges in data management, governance or security. Through macro and micro events, our purpose is to : - promote cooperation and understanding of data issues between France and the United Kingdom, - develop cross-fertilisation, - address the data concerns and challenges of all data professionals, - provide the opportunity for our members to discuss policy, governance and technical issues, - organise events to reflect our members' needs and interests. The Society intends to invite its members to meet and discuss policy, governance and technical issues such as ethics, regulation, education, digital transformation, data science and data security with a Franco-British and a European perspective.
