MCC's Vision: Working with the first instrument, the Milwaukee Children’s Choir will realize its vision when…every Milwaukee family knows our name; we have created generations of families who are music makers; we are known as a beacon of artistic excellence; we have a home of our own for rehearsal, performance, and administrative offices; the word Milwaukee makes you think of the city and its great children’s choir; MCC membership represents all of greater Milwaukee’s diverse cultures; we have created generations of “complete human beings capable of living successful and productive lives in a free society” (former Chairman of the National Endowment of the Arts Dana Gioia, on the real purpose of arts education); we have developed human beings who sing, play, improvise, compose, move, read, write, and think musically; and Milwaukee is made much richer by our presence. MCC is governed by an active and engaged Board of Directors that meets regularly throughout the year. Each board member also serves on at least one board committee.
