Industrias Teixidó, S.A. was established in May 1952 by Mr. Artemio Teixidó Borrás and commenced as an auxiliary industry in the metallurgy field manufacturing very high quality, high precision, machined parts in series. The company is located in Riudecols in the district of Baix Camp ( Tarragona ), at 12 kilometres from Reus and at 18 from the sea. The Company has a surface area of 33,000 m2, of which approximately 12,000 are buildings.. The factory is divided into three different industrial buildings, depending upon the technology applied in each one of them. The offices are in a building adjacent to industrial building III: Industrial building I : this is where precision turning takes place with sliding head lathes, multi-spindle lathes and CNC lathes. Industrial building II : this is where non-centred and special milling takes place. Industrial building III : this is where special operations are carried out with transfer machines and also surface and heat treatment. Currently around 450 persons are employed, coming from Riudecols and surrounding towns (Les Borges, Falset, Riudoms, Reus ,…).
