The Wapakoneta Area Economic Development Council (WAEDC) is in the prosperity business. Our mission is to enhance the economic well-being and success of the Wapakoneta area. We do this through a variety of efforts that promote additional employment opportunities and business growth. WAEDC was founded in 1989 with a mission to enhance the economic well-being and success of the Wapakoneta area. We are governed by a 13 member, volunteer Board of Directors representing a wide variety of local business and government interests. Wapakoneta's public-private approach to development eliminates obstacles, accentuates start ups, and feeds business growth.
