Established in 1685,Muratie is one the oldest family owned wine estates in South Africa.Situated 7km outside Stellenbosch at the foot of the majestic Simonsberg mountian we strive to produce elegant hand crafted estate wines. The estate still captures the old world charm and takes the visitor/taster back to the time when wine making was all the love of the land,environment as much as the end process. Hand picked grapes are sorted on sorting tables to ensure that only the finest grapes are fermented to produce our classic yet elegant wines. Our tasting room is open 7 days a week .
