The J. L. King Center has been serving the Starkville and Oktibbeha County community for over 50 years. With the generous support of donors, volunteers and partners, the J.L. King Community Center has served over 2000 meals to families, served hundreds of youth by providing equitable and rigorous educational resources in the after school program, paid 80 utility bills during Covid shutdown, provided dozens of adult courses in the areas of sustainability, health, employability and much more.
