Yappy Tails Animal Rescue
www.yappytails.orgYappy Tails is an animal rescue focused on helping find loving homes for dogs in overcrowded shelters. Founded in 2018, we have placed hundreds of dogs into loving homes across New England. We partner with shelters down south where the homeless dog problem is serious. These dogs are transported up to Connecticut, where they are fully vetted, being treated for any medical conditions. You can view a list of our current available rescue dogs on our website. Foster families are incredibly important to Yappy Tails. Before our dogs are adopted, they need a place to stay, which is where our fosters come in. Foster families provide us a way to allow our rescue dogs to get the care that they need while also being socialized. Keeping a dog in a kennel is not only expensive, but also a negative experience for a dog that has just been transported across the country. If foster families are the skeleton of Yappy Tails, then our volunteers are our muscles, helping us to keep things moving. Our volunteers help with everything from transporting dogs to and from events and vet visits, to screening foster and adoption applications. We are always looking for more help and we have many opportunities available. If you are interested in fostering or volunteering, please check out our website for more information.
