CoR.io Inc. is in the trusted personal digital identity assurance business. Its solutions ensure trusted identity assurance in both the real (brick and mortar) world and in the online world. The company's mission is to close the human identity gap, strengthen in-person real-world identity attribute validations, and use them for online identity attribute assurance. The Solution: Ultra Self-Sovereign Identity CoR.io’s Ultra Self-Sovereign Identity consists of the Consumer’s self-asserted identity indicators (attributes) which are validated, in-person, by an official authorized to do so by a government agency. CoR.io’s technology further validates identity indicators by comparing them against identity indicators stored in government photo-ID databases (e.g. driver’s license) and the results are stored on the CorChain. Additional in-person validations of the Consumer’s identity indicators happen at the request of an ID requestor in the brick and mortar world, where the Consumer’s photo-ID identity credential and the Consumer are validated by the CorChain. An earlier version of this technology was a finalist in a US government grant program offered by NSTIC (National Strategies for Trusted Identities in Cyberspace). Since then, the identity platform has been perfected by key team members and advisors, experienced identity architects and Distributed Ledger specialists. Several components of the platform have already been prototyped and pilots have been conducted.
