Storming Camel Motorsport has been around since 2012 and competed in 3 different cars in several different series. The team was originally formed to compete in mini-endurance format racing, initially with MSVR in their Trackday Trophy series running a BMW E36 Compact 318i. Seven podiums in the first eight races led to a move into the senior MSVR Team Trophy series in the newly acquired BMW E36 328i which stayed on the fleet for the next five seasons. The E36 competed in everything from the mini-endurance races up to 3-hour full endurance events all over the UK as well as Spa-Francorchamps. At the end of 2018 the team changed structure and moved to a joint-owner arrangement allowing a major investment in a new BMW E87 130i which will be mounting a serious championship challenge starting in 2019.
