Although this may seem unusual practice by Western Cultural Standards, this type of sponsorship is greatly appreciated because additional “hands” and equipment at these large functions and adds status to the events within the community. MARKETER BENEFITS Targets economically active consumers – LSM 1-8. Ensures trial and awareness of your product through strong branding and sampling. Entrenches your brand with people who have a philosophy of : “support those who support you” – “Izandla Ziyagezana” Affords your brands total exclusitivity and therefore assures the sponsor high exposure of the product due to length of promotion (whole day). Provides opportunity for involvement of brands in social responsibility programmes.
