A non-political and non-profit development organization, was established in 1990 at a remote Bangladesh village named Adampur at eliotgonj south uinion under Daudkndi Upazila (sub-district) of Comilla district. Today, at the end of December 2017, CCDA is implementing several projects by engaging more than 575 staff to provide services to some 10-12 lac beneficiaries with around 96,063 members of 352 unions/municipalities in 27 upazilas under 6 districts through 54 branch offices. It was registered from Social Service Department in 1990, NGO Affairs Bureau in 1996 and Microcredit Regulatory Authority in 2008. CCDA is governed by a General Council (GC), the supreme body of the organization, interacting with the management through a 9-member elected Executive Committee (EC).
