The Jumbo Ice-cream & Juice Factory is one of the largest and longest established divisions of Batterjee group since 1982. The distinctive elephant motif has been used in packaging and promotion to great effect to create a popular and well known brand throughout Saudi Arabia, as well as GCC and other Middle Eastern countries. The modern Al Batterjee Ice-cream & Juice plant also produces a range of refreshing drinks. These include fruit juices in a variety of flavors. The factory located in the heart of industrial city in Jeddah, occupies approximately 9,000m2, and makes use of the latest production technology. Ice-cream & Juices are manufactured with modern equipment from Hoyer of Denmark and Tetra Pak of Sweden. Fully automated lines have been installed to produce new range of products. Jumbo brand has been approved from the US army in 1991 for the supply of Ice-cream & Juices. In a research survey conducted by “Search” during 1993 and 1995, the company was listed as one of the top exporters in KSA. Technical management is by qualified personnel. Products are distributed throughout the Kingdom from branch depots situated in 13 major cities, serving around 14,000 listed customers in addition to appointed agents in the GCC, Middle East and Africa. All branch depots are computerized through network centrally controlled from Jeddah. Recently in 2002 the factory certified for ISO-22000.
