MWfly was established in 2012 for the marketing of a piston engine of its own design. The MWfly engine project started nine years earlier in 2003, and in the period from 2003 to 2012 more than 2000 hours of bench tests, 400 hours of ground tests and over 1200 hours of flight tests were carried out. The MWfly engine was born from the genius of Eng. Fantini and stands out for its compactness, its innovative solutions and for the attention to detail typical of the Italian style. Today the engine is produced in 16 different configurations and is the most efficient piston engine designed for aviation.
