The Center for Advanced Practice provides a place for Advanced Practice Providers across the enterprise to come together. The Center houses all of the APP's work and provides them with a community that creates better connections among the team. The Center for Advanced Practice at CHOP will not only highlight these important roles to patients, families, colleagues and peers, but also provides a formalized infrastructure to support advanced practice, the ongoing growth of the Advanced Practice Provider role and the organizational goals of mission sustainability and clinical and operational excellence. The Advanced Practice Provider has the experience needed to provide expert care to infants, children, adolescents and special populations of adults such as those in the Special Delivery Unit. Advanced practice providers at CHOP work in many areas of the health system, such as primary care, specialty care, critical care, emergency department, fetal diagnosis and treatment, home care and research.
