Nestled on the North Shore of Lake Erie, Serenity Lavender was planted in the Spring of 2010. Located at the 42nd parallel and (the same latitude as the California/Oregon border) it reaps the benefits of full sunshine and a sandy loam soil making the area world class for farming lavender. The owners Martin Gorski and Suzanne Dajczak were inspired by their travels thru France, California and Washington and soon recognized that lavender would make an excellent complement to their vineyard, North 42° Farms. As third generation farmers, lavender has been a welcome addition to the growing agri -tourism industry in Canada’s southern most mainland. With over 42 varieties planted Serenity Lavender offers the largest selection of cultivars in Ontario. The farm is open to the public or organized tours by appointment on weekdays from May-September.
