IRMA is a non-profit organisation which purpose is to ensure that consumers, companies, universities, authorities and other organisations receive correct and trustworthy values when they measure radon. This will ensure that stakeholders in the radon industry such as mitigation companies and consultants are able to remediate and give advice based on the accurate values and that scientists doing radon surveys and epidemiological studies can trust their measurement data and uncertainties. This will also imply that governments and law makers can base their measurement protocols and regulations on trustworthy radon measurement data.
