Evomo means Evolve Peoples Movement. We are a young machine learning startup based in Dresden, Germany. Our vision is to use artificial intelligence to create new standards in communication between human and machine to simplify the day-by-day usage of fitness apps. We are currently developing a technology which enables the detection of movements (such as pushups or squats) using smartphone acceleration data and smartwatches. For this, we implement an intelligent machine learning algorithm similar to speech recognition. Our technology is designed to improve fitness apps with functions like automated workout-tracking, workout analysis or live coaching with realtime and motivating feedback. In October 2016 we celebrated the first major milestone as we achieved the commitment of an EXIST start-up scholarship, which worth 125,000 €.
