The IP-academy (IP-akademin) is run by Trona Patentrådgivning and offers courses and seminars in patent practice, patent law, trademark, and design. Our lecturers are qualified IP-specialists with extensive knowledge about the subjects of our courses. We want to be a driving force in developing the IP-branch of the industry in Sweden by contributing to heightened competence and increased awareness. Our model builds on the already existing culture in the trade, where competitors are also regarded as colleagues. To have an open dialogue concerning questions regarding aspects of the work benefits the whole community. Our lecturers are from different companies but understand the value of making sure that the IP-trade has a high level. The target group is primarily people who work actively with intellectual property, for example as advisors, consults, assistants, and coordinators. Advisors in IP need competence in many different areas, primarily law, engineering, and enterprise, but also for example how intellectual rights can be used strategically. Both regulations and practices are continuously evolving and it’s important to keep updated. In addition to competence development, we also want to contribute to creating a meeting place where we can learn from each other and together contribute to a positive development in the trade. We offer both basic and advanced courses as well as seminars with updates and discussions. In addition, we can tailor courses directly to the client’s needs. The education programs are developed in consultation with the IP-academy’s engaged lecturers and clients.
