Located in the beautifully scenic Finger Lakes region of New York State, we are a small non-profit with a mission to assist brain injury survivors and people with disabilities, and their families to rebuild their lives from surviving a terrible tragedy or debilitating disease to living lives of independence with dignity and hope. Our services prevent young people from being inappropriately placed in nursing homes and institutions. As a result of their injury many of the people we serve are no longer able to work, drive or live independently without supports such as our organization. So much loss then results in losing a sense of purpose for the rest of their lives. Having a sense of purpose is important for all humans as it creates a sense of meaning in our lives. We know what we love to do, what we are good at, and how we can contribute to the world. It is our organization’s mission to help our consumers/members regain that sense of purpose, to find ways they can learn new skills and contribute to their community.
