Hennessy has over 20 years of progressive, experience in Animal Health research and product development. Attending Kansas State University in Manhattan Kansas, she received her DVM in 1987 and a Ph.D. in 1990. Dr. Hennessy is Board Certified in Immunology with the American College of Veterinary Microbiologists. Throughout her career, Dr. Hennessy led research and product development teams involving all major animal species. Dr. Hennessy also holds several patents towards products for infectious diseases of animals. Applications for four additional patents are pending. HRA specializes in the Research and Development of vaccines for infectious diseases of animals. As a part of this specialization, HRA scientists are skilled in biological manufacturing processes, in vitro test development, lab animal and host animal challenge model development, and USDA ELISA Reference Requalification methods. These scientists work closely with client company scientists, technicians, and regulatory personnel to bring an optimized production process to the client’s manufacturing site.
