Performance Driving Group
www.performancedrivinggroup.comPerformance Driving Group is a provider of weekend track days commonly known as HPDE (high performance driver education) where drivers get the opportunity to bring their cars to several race tracks in Florida, and drive on these race tracks at high speeds legally and in a predictable controlled environment. Daytona International Speedway, Sebring International Raceway, Homestead Miami Speedway and Palm Beach International Raceway are the tracks where we host our events. First timers with no previous experience register in the Beginner group so that we can provide them with an instructor who will ride along with them in the passenger seat, giving them some instruction on driving and safety. Track driving is completely different than street driving and like all sports, it takes some instructing to learn it. There is a 30 minute classroom session after the drivers meeting for Beginners, where the lead instructor will give some instruction on car control and passing rules. This is where drivers will get familiar with how to get on and off track, passing rules and flag talk. There are workers at every corner displaying different flags from time to time, and the flag talk will be about what each flag means. Before a driver can enter the race track, a helmet most be worn, and a class designation decal must be visible by the course marshal. A self tech sheet needs to be completed and brought to registration before you can go on track. There are 3 levels of drivers; Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced. Drivers will be placed according to their experience level.
