www.beanandgoose.ieWe are Karen and Natalie Keane sisters and founders of Bean and Goose. We make chocolate at Last Tree Farm based in the Wexford countryside, Ireland. Some of our earliest childhood memories involve chocolate. To us chocolate signifies good times, memories of growing up, our family and our holidays back home in Wexford. We began making chocolate using the traditional technique of hand tempering on marble slabs. This process gave us a strong understanding of working with chocolate. You have to slow down, you have to be patient and you have to be persistent. The Bean and Goose journey began in 2014 when we started making chocolate together. We loved experimenting with flavours and form and being part of the street food scene in Dublin at the weekend. We used the Dublin food markets to test our products, meet our first customers and gather our first stockists along the way. Bean and Goose chocolate is made using the complex and rich flavours of single origin chocolate paired with flavours and ingredients that reflect and celebrate the Irish seasons. At Bean and Goose we have a passion for using seasonal, natural ingredients and it makes sense to us to use what can grow in our gardens and can be foraged locally.
