Earthfire Institute is a nonprofit wildlife sanctuary, rehabilitation, and retreat center founded in 2000 based on the principles of Reconnection Ecology, an approach toward meaningful coexistence with all that is wild. Located on the western slope of the Teton Mountain range and on the southernmost border of the Yellowstone to Yukon wildlife corridor, Earthfire's vision is to include the voices of our planet's animals in our environmental decisions. Earthfire creates the opportunity for life-changing interaction between humans and wildlife. We provide both a home for animals that are not capable of living in the wild and a safe place for humans to meet them. The rescued wildlife and their astonishing stories help expand our sense of community to truly include all living beings, for all our sakes. Our unique model of ecological advocacy begins with personal inspiration and leads to a renewed commitment to protect the global ecosystem on which all Life depends.
