Whip Hand Cosmetics
www.whiphandcosmetics.comWhip Hand Cosmetics celebrates the depth and diversity of today’s modern, independent woman with luxury, hand-crafted, premium professional makeup artist-quality cosmetics and face and body products made in the USA, by women for women. The company’s edgy film-noir and vintage pulp fiction-inspired marketing and advertising features both professional models and “everyday women” who exemplify the Whip Hand philosophy of confidence, strength, independence, intelligence and personal style. Founded by professional makeup artist Riese Lauriat, Whip Hand Cosmetics grew out of Riese’s ongoing obsession with developing a line of premium-quality cosmetics for her own professional use on models, brides and her clients. Fascinated by the burgeoning artisan and homemade makeup industry, Riese decided to skip sourcing production of her cosmetics line to the usual large, overseas private label cosmetics manufacturers and instead develop her line using smaller, upstart producers based in the United States. The “in-sourcing” of Whip Hand Cosmetics rewards the ingenuity and hustle of these smaller producers (most owned by women,) while allowing them to grow and create jobs and opportunity in their local economies.
