Bindle was founded in June 2020 with a mission to fundamentally improve the way data on the Internet is stored, managed, and shared by giving individuals control of their digital identities and personal information. Our first application is COVID-19 health credentialing where we allow people to prove their health status without sacrificing privacy. We have established ourselves as a market leader in this category with hundreds of credential “issuers” (CVS, Rite Aid, Walmart, etc), hundreds of credential “verifiers” (venues, offices, and schools), and hundreds of thousands of individual users. We are now expanding the platform into the broader field of digital identity management. Powering all of this is an emerging information architecture called self-sovereign identity (SSI).
