The PMC was established on July 10, 2003, in Istanbul pursuant to Individual Pension Savings and Investment System Law No. 4632 and the relevant legislation upon appointment and authorization by the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, with a view to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the individual pension system and to monitor the activities of individual pension intermediaries and other such institutions to protect the rights and interests of its participants.
