CIYOTA is a grassroots initiative empowering displaced youth to build resilient communities in Africa. What began as a youth-club has now become a youth-led organization operating in Uganda and Democratic Republic of Congo. CIYOTA stands for the COBURWAS International Youth Organization to Transform Africa. Through education, we're embedding peace and prosperity in conflict areas from the Ground Up. We see education as a critical part of healing conflict and creating social cohesion. We apply holistic community development that addresses access to education from primary to tertiary education, gender equality, skills development, child safety, nurturing environments and leadership development to enable young people to succeed and make a difference in their lives and community.
