CASTLE ISLAND BILINGUAL MONTESSORI is an independent fully implemented Montessori school funded through income-based sliding-scale tuition and donations. The school is on a pathway towards accreditation from the American Montessori Society (2021) as an elementary school, registered with the NYS Education Department, ages 3 through 13. The school is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization governed by a board of trustees and has a commitment to community and social justice. The education provided at our school is child-centered with a focus on learning that is innovative and intercultural. Our school build community among children, staff, families and neighbors while fostering confidence in each individual's strengths and capacities for independence with academic excellence and deep feelings of well-being.
