Jamie Smith and Alex Taylor had just opened the doors to their new winery and tasting room in Tring and hosted their first wine tastings when COVID-19 hit. More tastings were booked, and so they set out to rebottle samples and keep their customers happy via Zoom. But rebottling is difficult. The quality of the wines couldn’t be maintained for long enough to ship them around the country; and postage was difficult, expensive and carbon-intensive because of the weight. They knew they could do better. So they brainstormed and Alex, a Cambridge-educated Engineer as well as our winemaker, came up with our lightweight, innovative packaging that would fit through your letterbox.  We've spent months having custom machinery built to repack the wine and then perfecting the process so it will arrive in perfect condition for tastings. After shipping more than 130,000 tasting samples, The Online Tasting Company was established and is ready to help the rest of the wine trade and the wider drinks industry with all their sampling & tasting requirements.
